Opencliq
[edit]Opencliq is nothing more then a guy ripping off handlerexploit's roms. I highly doubt he is capable of realeasing anything other then modified version of his roms. there is no need for his site to be mentioned several times in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.107.144.2 (talk) 23:59, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Rename the article?
[edit]Seeing as in everywhere except the US this is the Moto DEXT, shouldn't this article really be called Motorola DEXT, and have a redirect from Motorola CLIQ linking here? Sheepdean (talk) 20:14, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
I would say stick with Motorola CLIQ, since it's primary market is the United States. As well, from what I've read, the DEXT will have some minor software differences from the CLIQ and since all the information is regarding the US Version, so it makes sense to keep it CLIQ. 198.161.51.49 (talk) 16:02, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Where's the evidence that the 'primary market' is the US? There's no sense in 'keeping it CLIQ' based on different software versions being used (whatever the evidence is for that), because if we stuck to that rule we'd have to start creating new articles for all sorts of things; the European version of Windows for example. It makes sense to go with 'CLIQ' based on the fact that Motorola is a US company, therefore the domestic product name has weight (and of course there's the fact that Wikipedia is always happy let US usage prevail, eg. HTC Hero). On the other hand it seems to make sense in an accessibility context to alter the name from CLIQ if sales figures show a stronger uptake in markets where the nomenclature differs, ie. use the majority name. 91.107.42.141 (talk) 21:49, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Based on the surveys in the motorola product support forums, about 85% of the users are in the US (so far), and a further 10% in the UK, the rest in Latin America. So CLIQ might be the more wide-spread name at the moment. -- Marcika (talk) 14:38, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Upgrade Delays section
[edit]There's no way that section is neutral. Honestly, from the way it is worded, it appears that someone is using Wikipedia as a Soapbox to criticize Motorola. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 13:42, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
I agree. However as they promised us that there would be an upgrade and then there wasn't and I took up a 2 year contract as a consequence under the illusion of free upgrades I can only say that's the last time Motorola get any money from me. Swines...
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Motorola CLIQ XT be merged into Motorola CLIQ. The XT is a variant of the CLIQ, and the XT page is a grand total of two lines long. It could easily be a sub-section on this page. JaffaCakeLover (talk) 17:37, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- Simply stated, I agree. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 20:16, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Cliq Lock technology
[edit]A search for "Cliq" redirects directly to this page, with no option for an ambiguity page. I can't tell if there isn't a page created for the CLIQ technology for locks (used by Assa Abloy, Mul-T-Lock, and others) on Wikipedia, or if it simply isn't showing up because of the popularity of items relating to this topic.
How does an ambiguity page get created?
Cheers -
