Name of this article should be "Mr. Big," not "John Big!"
[edit]His name is not John Big, it's John something. "Big" is a nickname, not a surname!
"Big" is a nickname, as in, "The next big thing," not a surname! How does one edit the article name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.38.49.51 (talk) 04:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- Correct: how do you change the name of a wikipedia article?
A whole Wiki article on Mr Big?
[edit]Are you guys kidding with this? He was a supporting character for Chrissakes! Talk about rampant overkill. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.66.99.48 (talk) 14:18, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Chrisnoth44.jpg
[edit]Image:Chrisnoth44.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

avoiding the character's name
[edit]Does the show intend to imply that Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte do not know Mr. Big's real name (at least in the early seasons)? Or do they know his name from the start, but invariably refer to him by the nickname Mr. Big? Or is the show suggesting that they do refer to him by his real name, but it is redacted for the audience to simulate the diary format? --Mathew5000 (talk) 22:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Galotti
[edit]I've added that his charaacter was based on Ron Galotti. That's been in the press for some time and I'm surprised it's not in the article.--Stetsonharry (talk) 22:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Penis size discussion
[edit]I removed a section discussing Big's implied penis dimension because the only cited source seemed irrelevant and did not particularly discuss the character. This was reverted by the editor who created that section. My main objection here is the source is not sufficient to support the statement. The source in question, with what I think is supposed to be the relevant text:
- Siegel, Stanley. "Penis Envy: How Size Influences Self-Esteem". psychologytomorrowmagazine.com.
Into adolescence, popular films and shows like "Hung" and "Sex in the City," where attractive women vocalize their preferences for well-endowed men, doesn't alleviate the anxiety.
Additionally, the source is self-published, from the site of a psychologist collecting his articles that were removed from Psychology Today (for reasons I have not learned). Siegel's media appearances seem notable enough for a Wikipedia article (tho I have not looked to deeply into this), but hardly make him a reliable source on his own.
My objection is the source. If someone has a better source for this, and it is relevant to this article, I have no objection. / edg ☺ ☭ 15:57, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
