I don't see why this is flagged as a stub. There can't be much more to say, surely?

use of term in OS mapping[edit]

Is the term actually used by Ordnance Survey or is it simply employed (as a neologism) by the contributors to www.geograph.org.uk to refer conveniently to 100km x 100km squares of the British national grid?
