Improve

[edit]

If someone has the time, they might wish to improve how dates are reflected. Date ranges should, for example, read "1996-98," not "1996-1998."--Epeefleche (talk) 05:30, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:MOSNUM a "full closing year is acceptable." There is no need to go through the list and modify the style (which is used throughout this team's article). -NatureBoyMD (talk) 16:47, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also per WP:MOSNUM, "2005–06 is a two-year range .... A closing CE/AD year is normally written with two digits (1881–86) unless it is in a different century from that of the opening year (1881–1986)."
Given that it also takes up less room than giving the full closing year, and is therefore more easily scanned, it makes sense to follow what wikipedia indicates is the "normal" Wikipedia practice for same-century dates.--Epeefleche (talk) 04:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I missed reading that part. I made the suggested changes. The page will load so much faster now that it's about 500 kb shorter. ;) -NatureBoyMD (talk) 17:39, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
