The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium is not part of the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Program. The NAFTC has received funding for projects from both the DOE and Clean Cities and has (as their missions are so closely aligned) partnered with Clean Cities on several initiatives, such as National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day Odyssey.

The NAFTC is a program of West Virginia University that creates and provides curriculum on all alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles, manages a consortium of roughly 40 member schools to disseminate the information to a wider audience, and conducts outreach events to promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles. The NAFTC is the only nation-wide alternative fuel vehicle training consortium in the United States.

A correct page should be for the organization would be title with the full organization name: The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium.

Yes, I see your point. I started a stub article from the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium redirect, which seems to be the correct name from the logo, organization name, and publisher at the bottom of the page (i.e., without the leading "The"). If that's not right though, let me know.

There are two redirects to the page, NAFTC, which seems to be a no-brainer. And from what I read, National Alternative Fuels Training Laboratory seems correct.

If you would like to have some of the information not currently in the article (see the verbiage now highlighted in green) and can find newspapers, books, independent industry sites or other reliable sources for that info, I would be happy to add it. (It wasn't great to use the NAFTC site as one of the sources, but I wanted to ensure the info was correct - and thought that since it's backed up by a newspaper article we should be good.)--CaroleHenson (talk) 13:58, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

I’ve put everything together into one long message to try to make our request as efficient as possible. I think the message looks a lot more extensive than it is.

From Overview, paragraph 1 – “Information is conveyed to local communities through material developed in partnership with high schools, community colleges, and universities.” – It would be more correct to say that we work with subject matter experts to develop curricula and supplemental materials. The subject matter experts may be members of schools, but we haven’t worked directly with schools to create these materials.

From Overview, paragraph 2 – “National Park Service, U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Program, Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition, AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, and Smithsonian Institution were the national partners for the 2014 event held in Washington, D.C. The event was sponsored by American Honda Motor Company and the Propane Education and Research Council.” – Is it possible to delete this section? While these are the partners and sponsors for the event in 2014, there may very well be different sponsors and partners in the future as there have been in the past. To be fair, we would prefer that all of them throughout the years were listed, or none.
