On deletion of the article
[edit]Hi, I'm the author who created the article. I obviously oppose its deletion (I wouldn't have created it otherwise) on grounds that it is a notable piece of software. It stems from Linux Mint which is currently the #1 OS in Distrowatch[1] and a search for "nemo linux mint" in Google trows quite a big number of results. If there are more specific reasons for proposing its deletion, please let me know and I'll try to address/resolve them as soon as possible. Regards. Gaba p (talk) 00:23, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- WP:NOTABILITY is determined by references in WP:RELIABLESOURCES. Newspapers, magazines, major websites writing detailed reviews. Notability is not inherited, so Linux mint is irrelevent. As are google results. Gaijin42 (talk) 00:31, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- Understood. Will be replying in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nemo (file manager) to avoid fragmentation. Regards. Gaba p (talk) 00:47, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
