the page List of Nikoli puzzle types does not seem like it will ever meet WP:N, as most of it is on the main page here, and the rest seems to be on this talk page, I see no reason for a stand alone list. JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:29, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mochikoro has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references found no independent WP:RS for this article, fails WP:N and WP:V, similar to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kin-Kon-Kan

Distinguishing between game titles by Nikoli and the rest

[edit]

For example, the line:

  • Sudoku 数独 (Number Place, Nine Numbers)

is confusing because it lacks explanation. What I think is really going on here is that 数独 is the game title by Nikoli, Sudoku is the romanization of it, and Number Place and Nine Numbers are other names for the same game play. In Japan, Number Place is the generic term and Sudoku is the trademarked term. Because of this, I believe Nikoli never published Sudoku under the title Number Place. In other countries, perhaps Number Place is the trademarked term while Sudoku is the generic term. I do not know as of now. --JBrown23 (talk) 13:00, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
