Availability section contains inaccuracies. Combustion temperatures are generally higher on diesels, although gasoline direct injection can approach those high levels. Talk of non-existent NOx aftertreatment on diesels is nonsense (look at any US2010 or Euro V certified heavy duty engine and the vast majority have highly efficient SCR catalyst systems).
