The page contains an incredible blooper when a 1952 broadcast is referred to as "live on tape." Video tape recording was unknown until the late 1950s and not common until the early 1960s. It could been recorded using kinescope recording, however.Barnaby the Scrivener (talk) 18:54, 19 August 2013 (UTC) OMF was broadcast live, period, in the 1950s.Cokerwr 22:45, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

is it really appropriate to focus almost entirely on the six-year television version of a 27-year radio series?

I looked and didn't see a lot of information online about the radio show, aside from the links I provided. I was able to find more information about the TV version, so I chose to focus on the TV version and also mention the show's long run on radio. --JamesB3 16:43, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Onemanguide.jpg

[edit]

Image:Onemanguide.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Not sustained

[edit]

Article says: "The show was broadcast as a weekly half-hour series (1933-1950) [sustained by Standard Brands from 1935 through 1949]."

That's the exact opposite of what "sustain" means in radio. It means that a show has no sponsor and is kept on the air by a network or station despite that. 96.237.184.133 (talk) 22:11, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
