Is this really normally called the "Palace of Placentia"? I've always heard it called "Greenwich Palace" or "Palace of Greenwich." john k 16:13, 27 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a merge notice. Hard to say which would be best. Placentia may be more precise, but it certainly wasn't used throughout, and Greenwich is surely more familiar. Merchbow 18:47, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is there another Greenwich Palace? john k 18:58, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Tudor's *never* referred to it as Placentia, that applies only to Margaret's palace which Henry VII demolished. All the modern literature and primary sources are clear on this. I'll try track down a solid reference from either Bold or Colvin to use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnLayt (talkcontribs) 11:49, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Prisons

[edit]

If anyone's interested, I've proposed a new wikiproject for the creation and improvement of articles regarding specific prisons, internment camps, and detention centers here. --Cdogsimmons (talk) 02:00, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Year of Construction?

[edit]

The year of construction for Bella Court given in this article (1447) doesn't mesh with the article on Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester - which gives Humphrey's date of death as February 23, 1447. I find it highly unlikely that Bella Court was built in under two months. The article on Humphrey goes on to say that ... "Gloucester enclosed Greenwich Park and from 1428 had a palace built there on the banks of the Thames, known as Bella Court and later as the Palace of Placentia." This is a much more believable construction date. --Doc (talk) 18:22, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About a time line

[edit]

We should decently do a time line to show when he was around and when he died 2A04:4A43:4CFF:82FE:A03C:5C34:B648:733B (talk) 18:07, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
