[edit]

I have just started a new wiki at [link removed as advertising]. It runs on the same software as wikipedia, but the goal is a little different.

I am working to make it a central resource for all things related to crafts. A central, on-line repositiory of patterns, techniques, tutorials, tip & tricks, etc that people can use as a resource. It will be a place that encourages opinions. I'm (obviously) just getting started, but I'm reaching out to crafters to ask them if they'd be willing to contribute some of their expertise or help me get the word out.

I appreciate any help that you can lend. It's going to take a lot more people than just myself to get this baby up to its full potential.

Also, please let me know if this comment is unwelcome. It's my understanding from reading wikipedia's rule/terms of use that this would be an appropriate place for a post like this. Thanks!

The site Craftacular.com just leads to a parked page at the moment. I am responsible for working on the site PopularPatchwork.com, together with editors and contributors. The site covers projects, features, events and a forum. We are keen to trade links and content with related non-competing sites, and maybe build up a directory of sites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.233.252.14 (talk) 09:31, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia doesn't set out to be a link directory. We actually have a problem in textile arts with mom-and-pop businesses trying to get traffic to their online stores. Linking to a reputable publication, though, is a different matter. What would really provide mutual benefit is if you helped improved our quilting articles and used relevant pieces from your magazine as references. Let me know if you'd like some pointers for getting started. Best wishes, DurovaCharge! 10:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crazy quilt

[edit]

Is crazy quilt a form of block patchwork, or should it be in a a paragraph by itself?

This is a good page, despite lack of source references. WatchCat87 21:00, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
