Skel-Flat nickname

[edit]

I realize this nickname comes from the FlyersPhans.com forums, but I don't think it is wide spread enough to merit inclusion in this article. Homer continues to be the nickname players, coaches, and the media use and I know of no instance of Skel-Flat being used instead among them. Just as certain message-board-only nicknames such as Fat Balloon, Peppermint Fatty, and BSRB have no place in those respective players Wikipedia articles, neither does Skel-Flat for Homer.

Paul's nickname Homer comes from back in his youth days playing youth athletics at Eastview Recreation Center on the upper east side of St Paul. Both he and his brother Mark (a former 18 year old draftee of the Minnesota Twins) were excellent all around athletes. Paul was just as good with a baseball bat or football, as he was with a hockey stick. The truth is, as a younger player including his high school days, Paul was know as a skills player, a goal scorer with excellent speed and agility. The changes in his style of play were based on his growth in his senior year in high school and into his year in Junior Hockey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.116.68.249 (talk) 19:32, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Paul Holmgren.jpg

[edit]

Image:Paul Holmgren.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
