Revision[edit]

I made edits on 10/21. I adjusted pronoun usage throughout the article so it was more specific to the lizard being studied. An example was the following sentence: "Phrynocephalus vlangalii live in high densities.” Overall, I thought the article was very good. I also adjusted the home range of the organism section of the wikipedia article and added in some more information from the source to better reflect the primary argument. “Phrynocephalus vlangalii live in high densities where they each have their own burrow, but their overall home ranges overlap with those of others.[1] These lizards guard these home ranges as they are used as a refuge from predators.” Akhil.kesaraju

I made some grammatical changes to the introduction. The sections under female/male interactions were about one sentence each, so I combined them. Furthermore, the viviparous birth of lizards didn't fit under "copulation." I moved information about the habitat and distribution from territoriality into the appropriate preceding section. I elaborated on "Reproduction and Life cycle." I also edited Female/Male Interactions to include more information from the referenced sources. There was some contradictory information that I removed. New Information Added[edit]

Hello! As part of my class project, I have added various information about this lizard and plan to continue editing the article for improvement. If anyone has any suggestions or tips please let me know! Vportugal (talk) 05:31, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Vportugal[reply]

I made a few edits to the article. There were a few minor edits, like replacing "1" with one in accordance with Wikipedia's writing style. I also made some changes like splitting long sentences. Additionally, I added descriptions to the heading like summaries of the social behavior, adult sociality and interactions. I also saw that you used an interesting study to talk about the how the gut microbiome changes depending on the elevation and habitat. I added a few sentences to clarify how the gut microbiome helps the species to lower their energy expenditure, which is really important for their survival in harsher environments! In addition, I would suggest consolidating female/male interactions subsections into one paragraph. In the "adult sociality" section, you mentioned that some lizards will dwell in 2-3 burrows, I think it would be really interesting if you could expand on their housing preference.

Great job! I found the article super interesting and was very well written. Nvytrinh (talk) 07:51, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article Review Oct,20,2021[edit]

This is a great article! I added a bit of information, specifically concerning gender differences and habitat details. I think that there are some additional details on territorial behavior and aggresivness that could be added as well. mayafiore — Preceding undated comment added 21:05, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article Review[edit]

I just completed a review of the article and thought it would be a good idea to record my changes, as well as my reasoning behind them. The first change I made was adding in-text links to other Wikipedia articles so that other readers can quickly navigate to others articles that interest them or if they feel they need further background information to understand aspects of the article. There were a couple headings that I thought were helpful, but did not add enough to the section header to warrant a subheader. I ensured ones that I deleted had a sufficient section header that the information was still properly contextualized. Finally, I found some information regarding habitat loss in Mongolia as a result of human intervention and climate change, as well as some research that I found that discusses the effects this has on the species. Proper citations were included for this information. Thanks! Kellencking (talk) 22:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
