I'm new to this, so hopefully I'm doing everything right. If not, I'm happy to learn, please let me know. I've added the too-specific tag at the top of the article because it seems to deal with special cases a lot more than the general principles. I've put in some work tidying and generalizing the introduction, but input from some more experienced editors would be great to I know it's on the right track. Phase diagram?

Article Title

It may be better to title the article "macromolecular crystallization" or "biomolecular crystallization". The techniques described here also apply for things like structured RNA, ribosomes, viruses... etc. which are not (or not completely) protein. Scaldwell17 (talk) 05:37, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

the current description is long-winded and not particularly insightful. the key insight of the theory this section is trying to convey, which is that entropy trades off with energetics as captured by the gibbs free energy should be plainly stated.
