Article name[edit]

I'm no expert on political subdivisions of Poland, but at first glance the title of the article Purda, Poland doesn't appear to be consistent with naming conventions. Specifically, I have never seen an article title take the name of [City], [Country]. Usually in article titles a city or village name is given with the name of some subnational political subdivision (e.g., a county, state, or province), not the country name.

I realize the need to distinguish from Purda, a completely unrelated concept. I'd recommend moving to Purda, Olsztyn County, or Purda (Polish city). If you disagree we can see what others think by listing at WP:RM. KuyaBriBriTalk 15:10, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, this style is quite common in fact. It isn't used for the main English speaking countries like the US or UK, but it is used with many other countries - see WP:Naming conventions (geographic names). There are certainly many examples for Poland (Hel, Poland, Police, Poland, and many others that I and others have created). So no, I don't think there's any need to change this name.--Kotniski (talk) 15:58, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, I'm not an expert in this particular area and I am biased being from the USA. Suggestion withdrawn - Keep up the good work. KuyaBriBriTalk 16:30, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
