A fact from Qupanuk Olsen appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 9 September 2024 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

While the source says that the Naalakkersuisut was petitioned, I suggest changing the hook to Inatsisartut, which is also mentioned and is a more sensible target. (I doubt the Naalakkersuisut has the power to change time zones but the lawmaking body does.) A hook about someone believing in both resource extraction and independence could be interesting; it's atypical for people to support both in my research, presumably because of Inuit Ataqatigiit and anti-mining influence. Hi Urve! It's great to see you, been meaning to reach out and I hope you're doing well. We've been meaning to collaborate for a while now and we should get the ball rolling on that sometime in the near future. I agree with the former suggestion so I will adjust the hook accordingly. The latter though is actually a decently mainstream take on Greenlandic sovereignty (mining being one of the few viable industries for Greenland and thus independence is often linked with supporting mining) tied with Olsen's ties to the mining industry so I'm more hesitant to put that there. Based on my review of the article and the sources, the hook should be good to run. The article was submitted in a timely fashion (2 days is ok here), no apparent copyvio from the Danish sources on my reading, the hook fact seems accurate and interesting and cited. Reliably sourced throughout and seems BLP compliant (though I made an edit to the article to fix up some things; what does "muua" mean here?). QPQ done. I suggest translating the titles using trans-title. Probably forgetting something since I haven't reviewed a hook in so long ... Yes, good points re: a self-sufficient defense of mining. However my impression (though not an expert on Greenlandic politics) has long been that some of the most anti-mining activists have also been part of IA. Which is neither here nor there. There's always more to do but unfortunately I don't really edit anymore - but I'll keep you in mind since we've already made promises ;). Standard disclaimer: If this review is somehow insufficient, someone else will need to take it over; I will almost certainly not check in on it, unfortunately — too busy.
