Jubilee line?

[edit]

Does Jubilee line belong in this disambiguation list of articles? Does Jubilee Line Extension belong? From the Jubille line article we learn:

An alternative plan was devised in the 1970s to extend the Jubilee line parallel to the River Thames: this would have taken the line from ...(deleted list of London locations or station names)..., thence to Thamesmead. However the 'River Line', as this extension was called, was deemed too expensive and construction of the extension never proceeded.
Changes in land use, particularly the urban renewal of the Docklands area, caused the project to extend the line beyond Charing Cross to change considerably in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The Jubilee Line Extension, as the eventual project became known, opened in three stages in 1999.

then from the Extension article we learn:

This plan was modified shortly before the Jubilee line was opened in 1979. Under the new plan (and a new name, the River Line), it would instead run via the Isle of Dogs and Royal Docks to the "new town" at Thamesmead. (This route is not dissimilar to the proposed Crossrail route, which would go through the Docklands in a broadly similar direction.) A short extension was built eastwards from Charing Cross—the Jubilee line tracks actually extend almost as far as Aldwych, but work soon ground to a halt, and was abandoned.
Extension
Plans to extend the Jubilee line were revived in the late 1980s, prompted by the creation of the Canary Wharf development, which massively increased the predicted numbers of jobs in the Isle of Dogs and required a transport network

From which it appears that the London Underground River Line was never built and the name seems to not be used either for the Jubilee line or for the Jubilee Line Extension. As far as the TfL is concerned River Line was a plan in the 1970s that never was built and the name was not applied to a subsequent line extension that was built. Is that correct? If it is, then shouldn't Jubilee line be removed from this dab page? 67.86.73.252 (talk) 03:16, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. It shall be removed.oknazevad (talk) 01:30, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've reinstated this. All the above is no doubt correct, but the River line, or what remains of it given that it was a canned proposal, is explicity covered at Jubilee line. Therefore that's the link that belongs here.  — Amakuru (talk) 14:52, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
