The Bronx?

[edit]

I seem to recall, more than once in the comic books, seeing characters in settings like the Bronx Zoo, when they were not depicted as being on vacation. This would seem to suggest that their Riverdale is in the Bronx. Misterdoe (talk) 14:14, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Riverdale, IA

[edit]

I grew up in Riverdale, Iowa and I've never heard of this Archie fellow in my life. Nor this Jughead person. That sounds like a made-up name. I can't believe wikipedia allows vandalisms such as this. And Riverdale isn't a coastal city! Everyone knows that. I would like this article cleaned up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.15.63.4 (talk) 17:48, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There was one story where they showed the town as being located in Iowa on a map. I think I even added that here myself and then later removed it. It's not canonical.... the map was pretty small and I think they just picked a spot. New York is definitely the canonical location. Soap 17:01, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Riverdale's location is not pinned down

[edit]

The first paragraph of this article was making statements that Riverdale is in Massachusetts. That's not known for certain. Someone quickly perusing the article, with the goal of answering that question, would see that and assume the matter was either settled, or strongly leaning in Massachusett's favor. That's not the case. This article has been changed to immediately state that the matter is open to conjecture, and that the comics create this ambiguity by stating clearly conflicting data.
