Good Article review progress box
|
I will review this article on this composer for you. Lazman321 (talk) 15:04, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
1 - Well written
[edit]1a - Clear and concise
[edit]I only found one prose problem. Everything else is well written.
- "the band were active for a decade." to "the band was active for a decade.
Lazman321 (talk) 15:09, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
1b - Adherence to the Manual of Style
[edit]I am a little bit doubtful about the usage of "famous for his rock style" in this article. The source cited does not say that Ryuji Sasai is "famous for his rock style", rather it says that he "has struck gold once again with Bushido Blade 2." I recommend removing any statement that he is "famous for his rock style" unless you can find a better source for this. Other than that, all the other criterion of the Manual of Style required for Good Articles is met on this article. Lazman321 (talk) 15:49, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
2 - Verifiable with no original research
[edit]2a - List of references
[edit]There is indeed a list of references and every source is identifiable. This criterion does ✓ Pass. Lazman321 (talk) 15:51, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
2b - Reliable sources
[edit]Virtually all the sources used are reliable. I say "virtually all" because I am concerned about the usage of Ryuji Sasai's profile page on Video Game Music Online. The list of reliable sources for video games says that all staff articles are reliable except for composer biographies. This is problematic as a majority of this article is backed up by that source. However, composer profiles are based on interviews and articles on the subject in question. That means there should be sources available elsewhere that can help replace the profile page. I'd also recommend replacing the GameSpot sources as they do not mention Ryuji Sasai or any composer in general. Japanese journalistic websites and magazines like Famitsu should be good places to look. Some of the Japanese sources considered reliable for video games are listed on the list of reliable sources for video games. Using sources from other languages, including English, are also fine, though Japanese sources should be the focus.Lazman321 (talk) 16:28, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
2c - No original research
[edit]Based on the sources provided, there is no original research (not counting the GameSpot sources that don't mention composers at all). At the present moment, this article does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 16:42, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
2d - No copyright violations
[edit]With a copyvio score of 20.6 %, this articles does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 16:44, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
3 - Broad in its coverage
[edit]3a - Main aspects
[edit]Based on the sources provided, the interview conducted by Original Sound Version seems to have some pretty good information that could be added. The most noteworthy of these is that after leaving Square, he "composed and arranged music for bishoujo games, pachinko machines, and bands." Other than that, there is a chance that many details and information will be found during your source search which could be added. You don't have to feel pressured to find and add too much information, however, as the criteria only require the main aspects to be addressed. Lazman321 (talk) 16:53, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
3b - Focused
[edit]All the information in this article is related to Ryuji Sasai. As such, this article does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 16:55, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
4 - Neutral
[edit]This article is neutral in its information about Ryuji Sasai. This article does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 16:55, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
5 - Stable
[edit]This article has not been edited since June 15, 2021. There is no editing dispute nor is there an edit war. As such, this article does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 16:59, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
6 - Illustrated
[edit]6a - Copyright tags
[edit]There are no images. This article does ✓ Pass this criterion by default. Lazman321 (talk) 16:58, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
6b - Relevant media
[edit]I would like to see an image of Ryuji Sasai. However, I don't think this is possible as Ryuji Sasai is still alive, meaning any images of him would not be able to use fair use. Unless you can find a free image of Ryuji Sasai, this article does ✓ Pass this criterion. Lazman321 (talk) 17:01, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
7 - Verdict
[edit]Considering the source search you will have to do in order to make this article pass, I will put this one On hold for 14 days. If needed, I can be flexible with this time so you have more time to find sources for this article. Lazman321 (talk) 17:05, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
