SGA online? No excuse now, for not finishing it ... ohmigaad!

Name

[edit]

Shouldn't this article be called just "Séminaire de géométrie algébrique"? The qualifier "Grothendieck's" is not needed since his is the only one. So switch article and redirect, I'd say. --Roentgenium111 (talk) 15:26, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's always been a minor complaint of mine. I agree, this should be moved. Ozob (talk) 01:49, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then it should be "du Bois Marie", to give the official title. The Séminaire Chevalley of the later 1950s was also on algebraic geometry. Charles Matthews (talk) 07:31, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
True. It was where Grothendieck learned about schemes. :) John Z (talk) 09:46, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quality of English

In "This led to a discreet controversy, after the ultimate proof of the Weil conjectures was completed by Pierre Deligne. He received a Fields Medal, but only after a delay of one occasion; it was ..." what is a discreet controversy, what is a delay of one occasion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.8.181 (talk) 19:08, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know either. I'm going to take this out. If someone can clarify and provide a reference, then it can come back. Ozob (talk) 21:55, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why not include links to the SGAs that are on the arXiv? 73.217.96.64 (talk) 16:58, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea. Does someone care to track down the links? Ozob (talk) 01:35, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
