[edit]No mention of Schaeffler's roots in the Jewish-owned Davistan? http://www.independent.ie/world-news/europe/german-car-firm-used-hair-from-auschwitz-1659696.html --131.107.0.112 (talk) 20:18, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Irony of history
[edit]I find it ironic that Schaeffler now owns Barden (US bearing manufacturer). US bombed Schweinfurt, and Barden made bearings for Norden sights... 94.29.11.54 (talk) 16:25, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

"2009: It was recently alleged that the Schaeffler group, during the Second World War has used human hair from Auschwitz victims in textiles.( Haaretz)" while it is true that these allegations were made, they were refuted by Professor Gregor Schoellgen, a researcher at The University of Erlangen, in March 2009 in an online article with Sueddeutsche Zeitung, one of Germany's leading newspapers. Professor Schoellgen carried out an indpendent study on the Schaeffler family history. The article in Sueddeutsche Zeitung includes the following extract: sueddeutsche.de: Critics claim that Schaeffler may have processed human hairs from the Auschwitz extermination camp. What substance is there to these accusations? Schoellgen: According to the information currently available, none. GC David (talk) 22:46, 30 March 2009 (UTC) |
