Duplicate?
[edit]There seems to be 2 articles on this vehicle, with the same name and content save for an errant space.--Senor Freebie (talk) 17:45, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Which version 234/1, /2, /3, or /4 are the specifications for? Website http://www.lonesentry.com/ordnance/sdkfz-234-german-8-wheeled-armored-car.html has specifications for 234/2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.130.169.85 (talk) 06:52, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Duplicate? I searched, & all I found was this one. There's a "parent" article, which mentions the SdKfz 234. And the spex are for /2, but broadly for all the 234 series, since they don't differ much. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 09:52, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]Why is the main picture for this article of a model, when there are plenty of images of the actual vehicle available? Jellyfish dave (talk) 14:28, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- If no "free" pics of the real vehicle can be found, a pic of a model of it is acceptable; or even a drawing. Related articles in some Wikipedias have followed this approach. Regards, DPdH (talk) 03:16, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Also the picture is identified as a 234/2 when it is really a 234/4 (acknowledged in fine print below). 68.12.242.144 (talk) 16:36, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- The initial version seems to have been the 234/2, armed with a 50mm gun; the specs in the Infobox relate to it. Hence a pic of a 234/2 is needed. It'd be good to have a pic of the 234/1 variant too. Regards, DPdH (talk) 03:16, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Article improvement
[edit]I'm trying to improve this article to "B-class", by adding relevant content, images, and additional sources. Most of the content I've recently added is from the same article in other Wikipedias. Any help, especial with citations, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks & regards, DPdH (talk) 04:34, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Well, for starters the number of images is disproportionate to the amount of data in the article. I'd recommend a gallery, with room for only one relevant photograph in the text. --Katangais (talk) 14:00, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip, there is only 1 image for each variant, plus engine and gun. Only an interior view I'd add, if I can find one of the real vehicle (not a model). As for content, I'm trying to locate sources to expand the "Combat use" section, and to add a bit more in the development side. So far I was unlucky with online sources... any hints on this matter? Regards, DPdH (talk) 08:25, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
