I started this discussion to help 170.239.28.58 with his/her edit regarding the role of Wong during the events of the film. The IP address claims that Wong as a Sorcerer Supreme is not mentioned in the film, hence removing it and replacing it with Master of Mystic Arts. Me and CreecregofLife already reverted the IP's edit. We invite the IP address to discuss his edit here to avoid a possible edit war and encourage others to laid-out their opinion on this matter. Thank you. Centcom08 (talk) 01:54, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how it works overall, but I know in other situations if something wasn't stated until later, then that info isn't used. But I'm not sure if there are exceptions. I know we learned Wong became Sorcer Supreme in No Way Home after Endgame, but 170.239.28.58 has a point that it wasn't mentioned at all in this movie. I'm not gonna complain either way though. -- Zoo (talk) 02:08, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Shang-Chi and No Way Home take place after Endgame and Wong mentions when Doctor Strange has snapped away, he becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. So what I am seeing in IP's edit, Wong should not be called Sorcerer Supreme if its not a Spider-Man movie? Centcom08 (talk) 02:20, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think their point is only that we didn't know in this movie. Nothing to do with No Way Home being a Spider-Man movie. -- Zoo (talk) 02:27, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He is not referred to as a Sorcerer Supreme in this film and it is not important to the plot of this film so it should not be mentioned.. Also the proper procedure if an addition is challenged to leave it out while it is being debated, and NOT to keep inserting the info until consensus can be reached. Additionally, I believe we are currently going through Phase Four GA nominations in release order. So, after the TFATWS articles eventually become GAs, then will Loki's, and then Black Midow etc. SirDot (talk) 23:45, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't even be opposed to Black Widow and TFATWS both being worked on close to the same time as they're the next in line for the shows and movies, but if we end up going in phase 4 order regardless of movies or shows, that works also. -- Zoo (talk) 23:50, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The article already explains his martial arts skills. If you think there is something else missing from the article then you will need to be more specific, and provide reliable sources to support the addition. - adamstom97 (talk) 23:28, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The Shang-Chi character in the source material and movie has no super powers whatsoever. He's just an incredibly skilled martial artist and can use weapons pretty well too. In short he's just a regular person like say Hawkeye. 2A00:23C8:5228:1601:D1A5:DB01:C262:57FC (talk) 21:00, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
