So stupid. Almost every christmas album page says that it is 'Studio album'. Even still, they are not counted as studio albums. Her seventh studio album's, Pulse's, page says it's the sixth studio album. Some artists discographies and templates even claim that holiday albums are compilations! Well, sort of, any album is a compilation of songs. 82.141.125.116 (talk) 15:04, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recording Period

[edit]

Why has SummerPhDv2.0 not provided a source, for why they believe that this album was recorded between 2000 and 2001? It is standard protocol to list the year an album is made, as the sole recording year or nothing at all. To be re-adding 2000 for record released in late 2001, it is very clear you are not doing full background research with a citation provided. For all we know, "2000-01" was added by an unregistered user years ago, playing around and never confirmed to be correct. I have the right as a well meaning user, to remove 2000, as nothing supports that within the article text nor by citation. It rather comes across as petty to revert that correction and frame it on my talk page & edit summary as if a user (like myself), is making a nonconstructive edit. If one believes that Braxton was recording this album in 2000 in the midst of promoting The Heat, then please support it with a source or good explanation. Otherwise, the rest of us as users, have the right to remove it on the basis it isn't supported by a reliable source. Special:Contributions/63.92.231.105 is the person that added this wrong information on September 4, 2013, which I confirmed just 10 minutes after posting this. They were a vandal. Please do not leave me absurd warnings/messages on my page, as I did not vandalize this article and find that somewhat disrespectful (considering the nature of the edit). I'd like to think things can be much better than this and cannot accept being condescended to, for correcting someone's mistake. Not trying to offend Summer, but it is really out of the left field here how you didn't really investigate.--Carmaker1 (talk) 08:53, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The consensus warning I gave you states that you made a change, did not provide a reliable source and that I had reverted the change.[1] You did not remove a questionable recording range, stating that it was unsourced and you believe it was vandalism. Rather, you replaced one unsourced time frame with a different time frame without source or explanation. The warning and my edit summary do not say you vandalized the article, only that you made a change, you didn't give a source and I reverted the change. (Incidentally, the edit you are calling vandalism gives no indication of being anything other than an unsourced addition, little different from yours.)
Your restoration, arguing that an album released in October 2001 for some reason must have been recorded in 2000 was also not sourced. I have removed the date as unsourced. If you happen to remember the source you used for the 2000 date or run across it later, feel free to restore the date with a source. Until then, we cannot add a guess. - SummerPhDv2.0 18:31, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
