From the reference to Peer Gynt I can make the deduction that Solveig is a female name. I think you should state that clearly in the article.

Norwegian IPA[edit]

Another variant spelling?[edit]
I am not from these cultures so defer to those who are, but isn't "Solveigh" another variant spelling that should be included? See, e.g., this, though its trustworthiness gets downgraded for saying the name is 1 syllable, and this. Thanks. Sullidav (talk) 17:02, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
