Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I don't work for the Ferry or any of it's affiliated services or companies. The ferry terminal is owned by a governmental entity. I was a rider recently.

This is a brand new ferry terminal and information on this terminal is quite lacking for those that are interested in the terminal and may want to see it or view it.

I understand that the terminal is owned by the San Mateo County Harbor district and construction was paid for by San Mateo County Tax Payers. Other Ferry terminals on San Francisco Bay are on Wikipedia, so I think this makes sense to have this one posted as well. The page was built because there was already a link, but no page had been written.

So it's not privately owned and is worth inclusion in wikipedia. --Thehusband (talk) 22:17, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

The article has references from reliable sources, and most of the reasons that make railroad stations automatically notable also apply to ferry terminals. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 00:49, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted because this is not a commercial advertisement

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because ferry service is relatively unique. It is rare in San Mateo county. The ferry terminal is not privately owned. Water based transit is increasing in the Bay Area and this page is helpful in giving context to the history of ferry service in the county as well as specifics of what to expect at this location. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thehusband (talkcontribs) 06:32, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
