I believe c is the number of species in a habitat of 1 area units, not the smallest measured area, as the article says. For example, the smallest measured habitat may be 4 hectares but the c constant would then indicate the number of species in a habitat of 1 hectar. A note could also be added that c is dependent on the unit of area measurements. 158.38.1.70 (talk) 11:55, 1 February 2012 (UTC) Jens Åström[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. You know, you can be bold and make appropriate changes to articles yourself. --Epipelagic (talk) 14:17, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The species-area curve is a representation of the species-area relationship. It seems to me that the SAR is the primary topic here, not the SAC, even though people tend to conflate the two (and use the latter to mean the former). The only question I have is whether we should have a stand-alone daughter article about the curve (in addition to the about the relationship) or whether we should expand this article and move it to species-area relationship (which currently redirects here). Since no one has commented in over a year, I'm going to start by making the move. Guettarda (talk) 02:59, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No reference is given. It is not clear which species and which region the data represent. Wthienen (talk) 09:17, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
