Subfamily in species box[edit]

Hi, for people who study these wasps, subfamily is an important taxonomic level. A large amount of information about these wasps is generalized at the subfamily level. By that I mean maybe the specific habits and traits of individual species are not known, but you can get an idea based on what the subfamily is known for. The automatic species box template doesn't seem to show subfamily. Is there a way to change it so it will?Zelomorpha (talk) 20:46, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can usually put
  |display_parents = 3
(or some number of ancestors) to show up to the subfamily. If you click on the red pencil in the upper right, it will show you the hidden taxa. If subfamily (or the rank you want) is missing, you can add a taxonomy template, then change parent of the template beneath to the new one (This will also change the other articles using these templates).
