SAA Accreditation

St. Andrews still has its accreditation with SACS and will remain a full member during the court hearings. It must also be noted that courts in both Greensboro and Richmond have ruled on the side of St. Andrews and currently the case is in the courts in Atlanta, the home of SACS. Stay tuned as more comes to light as to the judge being critical of SACS for their lack of full disclosure during an initial hearing regarding the discovery procress in early December.

Received a copy of an article from the Fayetteville Observer this morning about SAPC losing its SACS accreditation. Checked on SACS and found this:

"The Commission removed the following institution from membership: St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Laurinburg, North Carolina For failure to comply with Core Requirement 2.11.1 (Financial Resources), Comprehensive Standard 3.10.1 (Financial Stability) and Comprehensive Standard 3.10.4 (Control of Finances) of the Principles of Accreditation. Note: Subsequent to the official action of the Commission on Colleges, the institution has appealed the decision. Until the decision of the Appeals Committee is final, the institution maintains accreditation with Probation. The Appeals Committee convenes August 20-22, 2007."

Same thing that has kept them on probation all these years. Financial mismanagement. User:Followtherules|Followtherules]] 20:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Anyone know the disposition of SAPC accreditation, now? Engr105th (talk) 09:58, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
