Name of article?

[edit]

I usually go by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association for the official names of papers. According to them: http://www.orenews.com/cgi-bin/internal/database/directory/showGMpage.cgi?MemberID=34 there's no "The" in the paper's name, nor is it that way on the masthead. So what's the source of the "The"? Latr, Katr 06:26, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See here where at the bottom the copyright says The Hillsboro Argus. Most of the copyrigth notices have the The in them. Plus here also shows their official name (it also has an Inc.). Aboutmovies 15:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Maybe the newspaper is without the "The" but the legal title of the business entity that runs the paper has one? That makes sense. Well, since our in-house style guide doesn't seem to be specific about these sorts of things, unless proven otherwise, as with this article, I'll still go with the ONPA and hope for the best. Thanks for looking into it. Latr, Katr 16:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
