Political leaning

[edit]

Is this newspaper considered to be leaning left or leaning right? It's well known that papers like the times lean left while the New yorker leans right. Which one is this —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.3.250 (talk) 03:55, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the paper's outing of the names and addresses of registered firearms owners in Rockland County and Westchester County, New York in December 2012 and attempts to inflict the same damage on the citizens of Putnam County, there is no longer any doubt of which way the paper's owners and staff lean. — QuicksilverT @ 23:19, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously; because such behavior is expected of a leftist. *eyeroll* — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.8.235.111 (talk) 04:42, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Major revision to get rid of present tense phrasing

[edit]

Went in and tried to change the "Controversy" section to get rid of off topic and present tense phrasing. Screwed up. Fixed screw up. Now it's someone else's turn to feel like an idiot.71.197.109.65 (talk) 23:11, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

list of burglaries

[edit]

I think it's synthetic to list every burglary that's happened to a home listed on this map, unless there's a reliable source showing that this map was used by the burglaries. (There isn't.) As such, I'm going to remove them. The Editorial Voice (talk) 00:33, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Separate sections for each legacy newspaper

[edit]

All searches for the legacy newspapers (before the 1998 merger) lead here. Each legacy newspaper has its own history, so I suggest a separate section under "History" for each legacy newspaper. I came here to post my 1970 "Newspaper Carrier Boy Certificate" from the White Plains Reporter-Dispatch. I feel that it's important because it documents the prohibition of papergirls as late as 6 years after the 1964 Civil Rights Act. My certificate really should be in a separate section about the Reporter Dispatch. If no one objects, I'll try to make separate sections for each of the legacy newspapers in a few weeks. Others should feel free to do something before I try and hurt myself like I did when I did a wheelie on my stingray while waiting for my bundle to be dropped off. I forgot that I now had rear baskets to hold the papers and landed hard on my elbows. Nothing broke, but gravel does get under your skin. I digress. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danaxtell (talkcontribs) 02:47, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
