They were referred to in the song "Bonus Track #3."

[edit]

What song is this? Who performed it?

I did a quick google search, and it seems the band is called Anal Cunt. Is this appropriate, or necessary for this article? The song is very short, so frankly I don't think it's notable enough to merit an inclusion of their vulgar name. I would actually be inclined to remove this whole bit of info entirely. --BennyD 20:25, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So it'd be encyclopaedic if the band's name weren't vulgar? That's not right. It either belongs or it doesn't. Em-El 13:30, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Original Page

[edit]

I tried to edit a history of the Refreshments. I also posted alink to the original work.

I have emailed the webpage owner to ask them to review what was written.

Are these guys the same "Refreshments" as the band in this artcle? I'm not sure, so I'm not adding the picture to the article. kjetil_r 22:09, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No that was a European retro-50's sounding group. I took it down.

Correct, the article should be split into two. // Liftarn

King of the Hill Theme Song

[edit]

According to IMDB, only former members of The Refreshments are given credit for the theme song, and not the US Bombs. Perhaps someone can prove me wrong? --JWZurawski 00:38, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Value

[edit]

Is it appropriate for Wikipedia to be telling readers what something may be worth at a speculative auction site? Alvis 05:17, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. Good point. When were those records released, anyway? That's the more important info. --Chris Griswold 03:19, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meade

[edit]

Is there any reason Roger's middle name is listed all over this article? I don't recall him using it professionally. Dayewalker (talk) 03:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2013 Reunion

[edit]

Is there a source for this? As well as "The Dog & Pony Show" in the discography? I believe this may be false info. I went to his concert last night and there was lots of talk regarding future events and projects (from Roger) and among knowledgeable fans, but no discussion about any Refreshments reunion, nor is there any indication on the RCPM website. I find it hard to believe that they would be recording a reunion album in 2013 when Roger is on tour with the Peacemakers through August. Not to mention, it doesn't make sense that such a reunion would occur, seeing how the Peacemakers have the rights to and play all the Refreshments songs anyway, and the two bands are largely considered by fans to be a continuation of one another. A "Refreshments reunion" would be somewhat akin to having a "Bon Jovi reunion" by bringing back Alec Such to play bass for a few shows. That's not really a reunion, as Bon Jovi has continued performing over the years, and continues playing the same (although expanding) repertoire of songs, just as the Refreshments have, as the Peacemakers. Even as the Peacemakers, they have changed guitarists over the years, but still continue in a natural progression to record new songs and play their older songs. Anyway, I can't find any source online that verifies the contentions of a Refreshments reunion, and I think it's highly unlikely that Roger would record a new album with his old bandmates when he is still actively pursuing his music with the Peacemakers, and I think any such contentions require a source, for the sake of the credibility of this article. But if they do have a reunion, I'll be there. Here's to life!Kevin Borland, Esq. (talk) 23:04, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually, I just checked the Circus lineup for June and it appears "The Refreshments" are listed to play immediately before RCPM, but I don't think it's clear as to exactly what that means, and I don't see any reference to the dog and pony show.Kevin Borland, Esq. RCPM - Lede buried?

[edit]

Is it just me, or is the fact that Refreshments songs and the style of their music is still played today as part of RCPM kind of buried? I think it's important to note that RCPM exists in the lede of the article. FridaysPhoto (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Charted Songs

[edit]

The table in the charted songs section seems messed up. The song date, title, and album line separators seem to be missing. SquashEngineer (talk) 17:37, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
