sheep/goat

[edit]

at the start of the plot summary Lisa is being chased by a "bighorn sheep", however when the story is returned to it is a goat, is this an error in the writing of the plot or in the continuity of the story. Having not seen the episode I can't comment either way, but if it is a continuity issue then perhaps mentioning that in the article is in order? flagitious 03:53, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

End credits

[edit]

Was the song in the end credits also from Good, Bad and the Ugly?70.104.165.167 03:12, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Scavenger hunt guy?

"Never-Ending Story"

[edit]

The title is a take-off from 1984 Wolfgang Petersen film, The Neverending Story.

Did someone explain the title like this on purpose? It would be better to say:

'The title is a take-off from the 1979 Michael Ende book, The Neverending Story.

quotes

[edit]

i do believe that i read somewhere in the wikipedia policies that you can have quotes, but not to many, cause its basically writing part of the script out. i think this page has waaaaayyy to many quotes... ill look up the policy and see what it says.... -Xornok 20:53, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Song while they're being chased by the ram

[edit]

what is it?

that is beethoven's 6th symphony, "the pastoral" movement #4. the song that is played right when lisa begins telling her story is the opening of the first movement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.157.31 (talk) 03:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

stalactite...or stalagmite?

[edit]

not having actually seen this episode I don't know what is true, but it seems highly unlikely that Burns was hiding behind a stalactite, which hangs from the ceiling of a cave. A stalagmite seems much more likely as it is a build up on the ground.--Puckeater8 18:17, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It really is a stalactite, if memory serves. He's just that skinny. Caswin 00:55, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Misalignments with Events Timeline

[edit]

I think this section should be removed, quite simply because it doesn't make sense and is most likely, completely wrong.

Mr Burns could easily appear as he is known in normal continuity, as the relationship between Moe and Mrs Krabapple happens before the start of the school year, whereas Mr Burns steals the gold and gives it to the Rich Texan shortly before the events of the episode (Homer witnesses Rich Texan hiding the gold and it's reasonable to assume that Burns gives the gold immediately to Rich Texan to regain his possessions). Implying the he hasn't lost everything for very long.

So, unless I've been mistaken about how everything worked in the episode (ie, the events with Mr Burns being poor happening some significant time after the events of Moe's letter), I'm going to remove the section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 121.208.21.98 (talk) 05:22, 1 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

ninth Emmy award for The Simpsons

[edit]

The article says that this episode won the ninth Emmy Award for The Simpsons. Which other eight episodes have won this award? --Soylentyellow 21:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Took out the spoiler tag

[edit]

I believed it was stated in another wikipedia article that spoiler tags are not to be used anymore, correct me if I am wrong 75.181.72.227 (talk) 22:44, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fly me to the moon

[edit]

I think we should mention somewhere in the article about the heavy use of the song Fly me to the moon in this episode but for the life of me I can't find a spot where it would work well to mention it. Cat-five - talk 22:06, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Burns' loss of the plant

[edit]

I do not remember that we are told anytime in Lisa's story that the plant belongs to the Texan. Is my recollection wrong, or is it a goof? --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 15:45, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
