My daddy said

I have added information regarding Capt. latimore's disappearance. My father, who was under Cdr. Latimore's command in 1941, told me that Capt. Tom's Naval Academy ring was later found on a dead Japanese soldier. The assumption was that he had come upon a Japanese radio station in the mountains and was killed. -- User:Macbirch 04:04, 2 August 2009
