Technical Classification: Submachine Gun vs Assault Rifle
[edit]I have changed the "type" on this page from "Submachine Gun" to "Assault Rifle" based on the information in the article. The article states that the Thompson Light Rifle is a select-fire rifle utilizing an intermediate cartridge (.30 Carbine) and detachable magazines, as opposed to a an automatic carbine firing pistol cartridges. Although the concept of an Assault Rifle was ill-defined at the time of the weapons' invention, I feel it still fits the classification by modern standards. As the 1915 Federov Avtomat is officially considered an Assault Rifle on this wiki. Mr. Someguy (talk) 12:19, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
