I think the current first phrase,

In geometry, a translation "slides" an objects by a vector a: Ta(p) = p + a.

If this was merged with symmetry then it would be necessary to consider merging all other specific types of symmetry too. e.g. time translation symmetry, rotational symmetry, reflection symmetry etc. I don't think it would be a good idea Weburbia (talk) 09:21, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
