What a ridiculous entry on wikipedia!

heheh, it's a crock alright.

I find it strange that nobody has yet compiled a list of famous Old Taptonians. There is former BBC Sports editor Niall Sloane. And, er, that's it.

And Tim Wanstall from the band Athlete - don't forget him.

COI, promotional expansion of article

[edit]

I've tagged the article for numerous concerns; my take is that this is being written by an employee of the university or its housing division, and is primarily sourced to the university. It's filling with trivia regarding the many separate facilities--per WP:NOT--that appears to have promotional intent. 32.216.152.62 (talk) 21:51, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

An example, with which the article is being filled:

Froggatt Hall opened in 2008 and accommodates students in en-suite, self-catered accommodation. There are two six-storey buildings and one seven-storey building, located behind Derwent Hall in the western half of Endcliffe; the nearest road access is via Sorby Gatehouse on Endcliffe Vale Road. Rooms are arranged in flats of 10 people. Study rooms contain a single bed, bedside table, drawers, wardrobe, large desk and shelving. The en-suite is a wet-room, with washbasin, toilet, shower, mirror, shaving point and light. Each flat has a kitchen with two each of: electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, sink, kettle and toaster. Each flat has a living room, with sofa seating, dining table and chairs, coffee table, and patio doors with juliet balcony. Named after Froggatt Edge, a climbing crag in the Peak District.

This serves no encyclopedic purpose, but it does function as a guidebook for the university's housing for prospective students. 32.216.152.62 (talk) 21:56, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
