Future of the VAMPY Entry

[edit]

I would like to get some more information entered in for the VAMPY entry on wikipedia. My first real question would be, who originally started the entry? I amended it a bit to correct some grammar and to bring it more in line with the wikipedia standards.

Hopefully, I will be able to add in some history of the program and discuss some of its landmarks including the 25 yrs.

The program was started by Julia Roberts. I've never meet any really old VAMPY alumni so I don't know anything beyond that. Stuff about the current program is easy to find. Vampers love to chat about VAMPY.

Okay, before adding every other class ever taught at VAMPY, please review this page. It is important to bulk up the camp details first before we start rattling off every class and tradition. Also please remember the Manual of Style and remember to source material. The best site is going to be here. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hate to take over an article, but I do not want this page to get out of hand, I have seen it happen to too many already. Leave questions here or on my talk page. -Thebdj 00:59, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Joey - I am willing to contribute, but I can be lazy when it comes to sitting down and writing something out. I think the best starting point would be to check out the wiki pages of other, similar camps (Duke's program, etc.) I definitely welcome anyone wanting to pick my brain for information on camp "back in the day". Title change

[edit]

I suggest the page title be changed to "VAMPY," as opposed to "Vampy," seeing as the title really is an acronym and is technically "VAMPY." Elfred (talk) 03:47, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
