"Other"

[edit]

We now have a disambiguation header that is more complete than this section; shouldn't it be removed then? Luis Dantas 12:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copper Alloy/Adamantium costume - reference?

[edit]

I have read the comics by now, but nowhere has been stated that the original costume was made of adamantium, unless I overlooked it. Didn't he create a new costume, out of adamantium, on top of his old one, after that got damaged during a fight? Sometime early, first 10 comics of the solo title, somewhere.

Fair use rationale for Image:Major Victory 1.jpg

[edit]

Image:Major Victory 1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Move

[edit]

In regards to the move. The character has gone by Major Victory in the past and currently, but there is over a 25 year history of the character being called Vance Astro. As such, naming conventions would have the article named Vance Astrovik before Major Victory. My suggestion is for a redirect of Major Victory to this article or a DAB. -Sharp962 (talk) 21:43, 5 September 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Some plagiarism

[edit]

Vance Astrovik spends a thousand years in suspended animation to get to Alpha Centauri only to find Earth people have built FTL ships while he was asleep and Earth people are waiting for him on his arrival. This is borrowed from A.E. van Vogt's "Far Centaurus" short novel, printed in 'Destination Universe' (1952) where four astronauts in suspended animation (one dies) take 500 years getting to Alpha Centauri only to find Earth people waiting for them thanks to FTL ships invented after they left that can do the same journey in just three hours.(185.181.236.222 (talk) 12:55, 26 September 2018 (UTC))[reply]
