Redirect needs turning into a disambiguation

[edit]

The redirect from Rhubarb Rhubarb needs turning into a disambiguation page, as Rhubarb Rhubarb is also the title of a British film of 1980 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081425/ Star-one (talk) 10:59, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

walla.com 3GB Email service anybody???

walla is also a horrible US mispelling of voila.

Those Americans are such ignoramuses. The British, you know, would never MISSPELL a word like that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.184.92.237 (talk) 17:03, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More Rhubarb...

[edit]

Here's another example: during a deliberately unintelligible argument scene in "Blackadder II", Captain Redbeard Rum is clearly heard to be "contributing" to the argument by repeating "rhubarb". It's never made clear whether this is an acting technique employed by Tom Baker, or a result of Rum's presumed insanity as a result of excessive urine consumption. Personally, I prefer the second explanation. 82.3.144.140 (talk) 16:53, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Walla + rhubarb

[edit]

In my training half a century ago, (1950s radio, Yale Drama School, UCLA film school) crowd walla was always created by dividing the recording crowd in half, so that one half said wallawallawalla, while the other half said rhubarbrhubarbrhubarb. To get an even distribution, the crowd counted off, so that the odd wallas and the even rhubarbs were intermixed. This broke up the repetitive rumble effect of using only one of the words.
