I know this is an educational assignment, but the topic seems to be discussed somewhat at the existing article Three-domain system. Unless this article is substantially different in scope, it might eventually be best to merge the two articles to allow for comprehensive discussion in a single article. While I do agree with you that there is overlap between both articles my intention for this article was to focus more on the controversy (social implications) behind Carl Woese's discovery. In this way, I don't believe the two articles should be merged. I read through the talk page of the Three-Domain System and one individual discussed his want for a larger Criticism section but I didn't foresee this happening because of all the push back this one individual initially received. I believe a great deal can be learned about the politics and social implications that scientific theories produce as they gain evidence and become fact, more so than already described in the Three-Domain System. However, realizing that I am new to this sort of community, do you think it is worthwhile to propose such an article? And if not, then should I keep something from this article that would be novel to the one already in existence? Thank you for the feedback! Mejia.25.osu (talk) 03:00, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
