Merge proposal[edit]

@Rjensen, InformationToKnowledge, and Leonidlednev:

I propose to merge Wood production, Wood industry and Hardwood timber production as they are related and short, but I am not sure which article to merge into. What do you think? Chidgk1 (talk) 14:05, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hardwood timber production is a branch and subsection of forest management. The wood production article goes beyond the scope of growing and harvesting trees, and includes milling, marketing, and distribution. I support merging wood production into wood industry. If you desire a home for hardwood timber production, it's already got a section in forest management where the whole article is excerpted there, so that would be a good place for it. In its definition it states "managing stands of deciduous trees". That's forest management. ;)    — The Transhumanist   08:29, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
