Expansion

[edit]

To Do:

  • Clarify what the Hadassah prize is, and how important it is (or isn't). (see the New Israel Fund UK 2014 report mentioning what appears to be the same award)
  • Add information on her judicial career. She apparently was a judge on the Lod District Court
  • Clarify the name, work and structure of Tmurah
  • Flesh out her opinions on the social issues she fights for, such as discrimination against the mirzahi for example
  • Clarify her degrees and education, as well as her teaching/lecturing activities

  • ALT3 ... that in addition to founding the Tmurah Anti-discrimination center, which fights for the rights of women who have suffered abuse, Prof. Yifat Bitton was also twice shortlisted for Israel's supreme court?
  • Thank you, that's better. But I think it should be tightened, and the spelling of the name corrected. How about:
  • ALT3a: ... that in addition to founding Tmura, an anti-discrimination center that advocates for the rights of women who have suffered abuse, Yifat Bitton was shortlisted for Israel's Supreme Court twice? Yoninah (talk) 17:01, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Number 57: @Ynhockey: @Icewhiz:, You seem to be pretty prolific editors at Wikiproject:Israel. Would you mind taking a look at this article and improving it? Hydromania (talk) 23:09, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hydromania,
Thanks for creating the article. It gives a good basic overview of the subject, but there are a few problems with the style:
  • The article is more of a list of points than prose
  • It uses time-sensitive phrasing (e.g. "curretly")
  • In places, it's written in a promotional tone (note: if you have a personal connection to the subject, disclosure is mandatory)
  • The sections are organized in a way that highlights the subject's career, instead of being in chronological order
Hope this helps with improving the article in general, and the DYK nomination in particular.
