"Promo single"

@AshMusique: Minaj specified that Yikes is not a single, and if that isn’t enough, Paper Mag published an article explicitly stating that it’s a promotional single. -- dylx 21:48, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dylx, Minaj did not specifically call the song a "promo single", she said it is a "set-up" single. I'm assuming a set-up for the rest of her releases in 2020, but then again that's merely my opinion. Any source can (erroneously) call a song something it is not. With that said, Paper called it a promo single ahead of her album rollout, and we know Minaj never released an album last year, so if it was/is a promotional single, what was it released in promotion of?
