Template:Arb declined
Request for Arbitration declined
[edit]This is a courtesy notice to inform you that a request for arbitration, which named you as a party, has been declined. Feel free to see the Arbitrators' opinions for potential suggestions on moving forward.
For the Arbitration Committee,~~~~
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Arb declined}} ). |
This template may be used to inform parties that the Committee has declined to hear a case request they are named in. Template:Arb premature provides more information than this template so may be more helpful in some circumstances.
Note: the template does not include a section header as this would require the clerk to edit the whole talk page and scroll down to the bottom a suggested header is Request for Arbitration declined.
The basic usage of this template is:
{{subst:Arb declined|oldid=OLDID|name=NAME}}
If the case request was withdrawn by the filing party rather than declined the following version may be used to change "declined" to "withdrawn and archived":
{{subst:Arb declined|oldid=OLDID|name=NAME|withdrawn=yes}}
Both of these parameters must be defined or the template will not work.
OLDID
is the oldid of the permalink to the case request (that is the version before the case was removed from the requests page).NAME
is the name of the section header (which should be the case name).
The template allows for a salutation to be prepended to the text of the message using the |salutation=
parameter. For example:
{{subst:Arb declined|oldid=OLDID|name=NAME|saluation=Hi Callanecc!}}
The template automatically includes your signature, this can be suppressed by including |sig=no as a parameter. That is,
{{subst:Arb declined|oldid=OLDID|name=NAME|sig=no}}
