2014 Hotel Amalo attack

[edit]

  • Associating Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg with the terrorist attack in the hook is undue and violates WP:BLP. Please take it out. Article itself is fine. It's new enough, long enough, neutrally written, and well referenced. No copyvio issues. -Zanhe (talk) 01:21, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
  • It's not meant to associate Stoltenberg with the terror attack itself, but to highlight an interesting/curious part of the 60-year-old's activities in Norway since the article is also the main article about him. The meeting (and the photo in question) has been widely published in Norway, for instance here: NRK. If it's still a problem though, I guess I could agree that the hook could be shortened to the basics only. User2534 (talk) 12:54, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
  • I know you don't mean to defame Stoltenberg, but featuring a hook associating him with the terrorist would have that effect, which is why it cannot be used. It's okay to mention the fact in the article, where the full context of their association can be properly explained. -Zanhe (talk) 17:49, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1 is much better, but 27 people killed are more than "several". -Zanhe (talk) 18:16, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
  • True, only reason I didn't write the specific figure is that I didn't feel it was secure enough. The source stating this should be among the most reliable, but problem is I haven't found the figure anywhere else, with others giving/claiming other numbers (mostly early sources). Now, I just read the article again and it seems the figure is actually given by the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) after investigations over a year later, so it probably should be the most reliable one. If it's ok I can change to the exact figure instead. User2534 (talk) 18:35, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
  • You don't have to mention the exact number if it's uncertain. You could say, for example, "... perpetrated the fatal Hotel Amalo attack". -Zanhe (talk)
  • I have made some changes to the alt above. User2534 (talk) 10:12, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
  • modified ALT1 is verified and has no BLP issue. Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 17:42, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
