Not a 5x expansion

American Cinema Editors

  • ... that the "Eddies" name and the statuette were introduced at the 15th American Cinema Editors Awards in 1965? Source: [1][2]

    • Comment: I expanded the article greatly beginning in March 23, 2024 by using the "ACE Second Decade Anniversary Book" and Newspaper.com clippings. I want to highlight the early history of a long-running industry award ceremony that celebrated below-the-line talent editors throughout the Hollywood film industry.

  • Hi, Yoshiman6464! Great work on this article; unfortunately, I don't think it's eligible, as it has not been 5x expanded within the past week. Per WP:5X, This calculation is made from the last version of the article before the expansion began, even if text from the original was deleted in the process. Before the expansion, the article was at ~3400 bytes of prose; now, it is at ~3900. Pamzeis (talk) 04:44, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
@Pamzeis: Thank you so much for letting me know. I had no idea it was literally 5x expansion. I’ll renominate it once I find a lot more stuff about the society. I have several offline sources that would assist me. Once I’m ready, I’ll try my best to expand the article five-fold. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 14:15, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
