Comment: ALT1 is an attempt at a silly hook. 4/1 is probably already planned, though. :)
Not sure about the rules for captions, but I hear audio clips don't get a lot of engagement in DYK, so why not make it more clickworthy.

Overall: @Rhododendrites: Both hooks look like they'll do well, although a few changes need to be made to ALT1 to make it read better. ALT1a ... that there is a name – BRAAAM – for the loud – *BRAAAM – low horn sound – BRAAAM – made popular by action film trailers?
@Freedom4U: Thanks. No objections to ALT1a, although it may call for more wikilinks at the end.
