Front Palace (Bangkok)

The Front Palace
The Front Palace
  • ... that to avoid a curse against non-descendants placed by Siam's Prince of the Front Palace (pictured), two of his successors married his daughters? Source: Silpa Wattanatham - Google Translate does an especially poor job with the historical royal language, but you can find the words "curse", "marry" and "daughter" in there.
    • ALT1:... that after its last occupant died, the Front Palace (pictured) was turned into the site of Thailand's first public museum? Source: "... This was the first public museum in the country. In 1887 King Chulalongkorn had all the museum exhibits removed from the Concordia Hall and installed in the three halls in front of the Palace of the Prince-successors. (Also called Wang Na, or the Palace to the front.)"[1]

Also a comment, the first hook is probably the best option among the two hooks, but it might have to be specified there that the building is in Bangkok. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:42, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
  • Article meets DYK requirements, 5x expansion verified, and is adequately sourced. ALT0 is the best hook, but the specific sentences mentioning the curse don't seem to have inline citations, only general citations for the whole paragraph. The wording in the article could also be made clearer since reading it right now the "successors' daughters" part isn't exactly easy to understand from the article text. QPQ has been done. • Adjusted wording a bit, and added an additional end-of-sentence citation. Is it clearer now? Regarding mentioning Bangkok in the hook, I'm not quite sure how best to do this. Prince of the Front Palace is a specific title, so making it "... the prince of the Front Palace in Bangkok (pictured)..." would lose the meaning somewhat. Perhaps just mentioning the country would be enough context? E.g. "... placed by Siam's Prince of the Front Palace (pictured)..." --Paul_012 (talk) 02:55, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
"Siam's Prince..." works. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:32, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
